Paintings from the Middle Ages were not exact reproductions of the reality. It may have just been easier to paint the arrows in front of the bow, when the archers are facing to the right.

While i respect your skills and the time you have put into YOUR STYLE of archery i find it irritating when you bash another style of archery while doing it completely wrong. You bash modern archery without even knowing proper technique. You have all the right to say that you are good at YOUR STYLE of archery but please dont say that people who do other styles of archery are bad when you clearly dont know how to shoot those styles and clearly cant represent them well.

I was a miserable failure at traditional archery. I have been practicing this style for less than 24 hours and I can already shoot off of my foot just by watching this guy. holding my bow in my left hand and resting the arrow on my thumb on the right side is the fastest and most accurate way I have ever shot a bow in my life. it kind of makes his video seem like archery cheating. if I am in a war I will cheat to win
